Paris of the Prairies is now available for purchase. Please contact us for ordering info ($29.95 plus $5.00 shipping and handling).

Synopsis: In 1976, a set of architectural drawings created by British landscape architect Thomas Mawson in 1912 was discovered in a garage slated for destruction. These drawings depicted the grandiose plans Mawson had for the future of Calgary. Some say they rival the plans for rebuilding Paris during the reign of Napoleon III.

Today, almost 100 years later, Calgary is still facing many of the same development challenges Mawson was trying to address. Historians Dr. Max Foran and Dr. Michael McMordie, along with Canadian architect Fred Valentine, provide their insights regarding Mawson’s drawings and about how Calgary has become the vibrant city it is today.

The Cowboy G's - Sonik Media took home the grand prize at the 2005 "Eddies" Big Rock competition. We want to thank all those who were involved in the production. Click here to view the ad (2.2MB download).
